Sarah Lisette Chiesa is a Contemporary Dance Based Artist, originally from Upstate New York, who currently lives and works in Europe. She attended the North Carolina School of the Arts for high school and got her BFA from SUNY Purchase Dance Conservatory. Sarah has worked professionally with directors such as Kazuko HIrabyashi, Kathryn Alter, Ayako Kirakake, Sidra Bell Dance NY, Chris Elam Misnomer Dance Theater, Naomie LaFrance, Tania Perez-Salas, Sue Bernard, Elisabeth Motley, Brooke Broussard, Celia Rowlson-Hall. She was a full-time company member of Shen Wei Dance Arts for five years and created five new works with him and a restaging of Carmina Burana. In theater, Sarah has worked with Hubert Lepka of Torren in Austria, Steve Cooke of Stella Adler Acting Studio, Jenny Koons with the Odyssey Project NY, and acted in "The Compositor" a bronze student academy award winning film by John Mattuizzi. She has presented her own choreography and performative installations in NYC, Montreal, San Francisco, Venezuela, Austria, and Santiago Chile.
